At least three policemen were killed and another nine sustained serious injuries in a firefight with alleged kidnappers in Shikarpur district of Sindh, 24News HD TV Channel reported.

Reportedly, a police team conducted a raid at a Shikarpur area in a bid to secure the release of eight abductees but they faced fierce gun attack by the alleged kidnappers. They made a request for backup through a video message to the Shikarpur SSP but to no avail, resulting in the loss of lives of three cops.

Another nine lawmen sustained wounds while the criminals captured their armored personnel carrier (APC), made a video of it, and posted it to social media. The dead were identified as Munnawar Jatoi, Saeed Mehr, and Haseeb Sheikh.
