The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf has sought permission from Islamabad district commissioner for holding a sit-in on Srinagar Highway in the federal capital on May 25, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, the PTI wrote an application to the Islamabad DC on Monday requesting him to allow the party to stage a sit-in on Srinagar Highway on the day of party’s long march as was announced by party Chairman Imran Khan yesterday.

It was stated in the application that the administration should provide security and take other measures for the security of participants of the long march. 

It was also assured in the application that the rally participants would stage a peaceful demonstration.
