NAB launches Online Property Information System to prevent fraud in housing schemes
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched an Online Property Information System aimed at preventing fraud in private housing societies across the province.
According to official sources, NAB has sought approved layout plans of housing societies from development authorities throughout the province. In this regard, the bureau has also written a letter to the housing secretary requesting the provision of approved layout plans and related records.
Under the initiative, the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and layout plans prepared by private housing societies will be linked with the NAB online portal to ensure transparency and protect citizens from fraudulent schemes.
Sources said that development authorities from all districts will provide the required layout plans to NAB for integration into the system. Once completed, common citizens will be able to access housing layout plans of all districts through the NAB Online Property Information System.
Officials said the move is intended to help the public verify the legal status and approved designs of housing projects before making investments, thereby reducing the risk of property fraud and illegal housing schemes.
