Two robbers, being chased by the Dolphin Squad of Lahore police, died Wednesday after the motorbike they were fleeing on rammed into a trolley due to speeding while an accomplice of them sustained injuries in the accident, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to police, the incident took place in Shadbagh area of Lahore. The Dolphin Squad arrested the accused who was injured in the accident, and a case was registered against him at Badami Bagh police station.
The first information report (FIR) read that three robbers were fleeing on a motorbike after committing robberies in different areas.
They also fired shots at the Dolphin Squad and sped away when the latter signaled them to stop while patrolling.
A team of the Dolphin Squad went after them, but the motorbike they were fleeing on rammed into a trolley on Shadbagh Service Road due to speeding.
As a result, two robbers died on the spot while the other sustained injuries. The Dolphin Squad arrested him and also recovered cell phones, watches, money and firearms from his possession.
