Ex-CM Hamza Shehbaz notifed as Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly

Former Punjab chief minister and PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz has been appointed the Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A notification in this regard was issued on Sunday after the approval of Punjab Assembly Speaker Sabteen Khan. 

A gazette notification of Hamza’s appointment as the Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly has also been issued. 

It is pertinent to mention here that the seat of opposition leader in the provincial assembly lay vacant after the change of government in the province. 

Meanwhile, the 41st session of the Punjab Assembly has been prorogued after four months and soon after that the speaker has called the new session of the house tomorrow. 

Punjab Assembly Speaker Sabteen Khan first prorogued the provincial assembly session which has been continued for the last four months and on the submission of the requisition for the new session, summoned the 42nd session of the house on Monday (tomorrow) at 4pm. 

A notification in this regard has been issued. 

All the members of the Punjab Assembly have been directed to ensure their presence in the house.
