The United Nations has honoured squash legend Jahangir Khan as one of the greatest athletes of the past 1,000 years, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.  

This is a remarkable global recognition of his unparalleled dominance, discipline and legacy in the world of sport.

Jahangir Khan’s record-breaking career, which includes 555 consecutive match wins, is one of the most remarkable achievements in athletic history. 

His recognition by the United Nations confirms Pakistan’s enduring contribution to global sports and excellence.

The United Nations has included Pakistan and world squash great Jahangir Khan in its list of the greatest athletes of the past 1,000 years. 

This is a great honour not only for Jahangir Khan, but also for the country and the nation. 

Jahangir Khan also has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for winning over 550 consecutive matches in his career. 

He was undefeated for five years and he won the world title six times and was also the winner of the British Open Championship ten times.
