An accountability court in Islamabad has paved the way for return to Pakistan of senior PML-N leader and former finance minister Ishaq Dar by suspended his permanent arrest warrants, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Giving a change to the PML-N leader to surrender, Judge Muhammad Bashir on Friday ordered that Ishaq Dar should not be arrested on his return to the country and suspended his permanent arrest warrants issued by the NAB until October 7.

The judge remarked the court will look into cancellation of the arrest warrants once the former finance minister sets foot on the motherland.

Ishaq Dar’s lawyer had informed the court on Thursday that his client was ready to surrender. Dar’s lawyer Qazi Misbah prayed to the court to order the National Accountability Court (NAB) to withdraw the warrants since his client currently living in London was ready to surrender. “It is my request that the former finance minister is not arrested on his arrival in Pakistan,” he said.
