Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif who is in New York these days to attend the 77th session of the UN General Assembly has turned 71 years old today (Sept 23), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

He will cut his birthday cake at the New York Plaza Hotel. 

On his birthday, social media is flooded with congratulatory messages.

Shehbaz has served three terms as the Chief Minister of Punjab and is currently serving as the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan. He was exiled after the military took over on 12 October 1999.

He paid special attention to all sectors including education and health department in Punjab and took steps to eliminate illegal encroachment from the province.

The party leaders and officials sent him special birthday wishes and prayed for his long life.
