PTI’s Fawad Ch regrets acquittal of politicians in graft case

September 23, 2022 04:44 PM

PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said on Friday it was unfortunate that the leaders of political parties, presently part of the coalition government, had given themselves a clean chit in corruption cases by amending the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) law, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to media along with another party leader Mehmoodur Rasheed in Jhelum, he termed it a ‘joke’ with the people of Pakistan. “Now the stage is being set for the return of Ishaq Dar, a proclaimed offender, by acquitting him in a graft case so that he could become the country’s finance minister,” he lamented.

He regretted that inflation was so high in the country that it was becoming increasingly difficult for a common man to make both ends meet.

Commenting on Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah’s bellicose gesture towards the PTI, he said the minister had the habit of swaggering and punching above his stature. “He poses himself like former US president George Bush,” he remarked.

Fawad made this clear to Rana Sana that this time when the PTI workers would set out on a long march towards Islamabad, it would be difficult to contain them.

“The minister talks about using sophisticated weapons against the marchers,” PTI leader said, adding that meant that he would kill and maim his own countrymen.

He reminded that such kind of threatening tone is normally witnessed in occupied territories.

Fawad regretted that contrary to the PTI government, which had even served food to the marchers of JUI-F, the coalition government was threatening the PTI with dire consequences in the event of its march on Islamabad.
