Caretaker govt trying to bring betterment to Pakistan: FM

The caretaker government is trying to bring betterment to Pakistan, Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani said on Friday.

“During the visit to the United Nations, I and the prime minister held meetings with the heads of various countries and deliberated upon trade and other issues,” he told the media.

He said that Pakistan will present its case at the United Arab Emirates on COP 28. “Floods cost $30b to Pakistan,” he added.

“We also presented the issue of Jammu and Kashmir to the world in the best possible way and we will continue to be the voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,”

Addressing the United Nations session, the prime minister laid stress on the solution to Kashmir in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiris under the United Nations resolution.

The prime minister also shed light on climate change's impact on the country, saying that Pakistan is at the receiving end, he said adding that floods left a trail of devastation in Pakistan.
