A team of Chinese doctors along with medical instruments reached Pakistan to assist in getting over coronavirus crisis. They have vast experience and they will stay for two months, said the DG ISPR.
Two special planes took doctors to Pakistan where they would assist in the ongoing war on the virus, the DG said, adding that China has proven to be a friend and strategic partner.
Last month Islamabad received tonnes of protective gear and testing kits from China to contain the spread of coronavirus.
The continuing and unprecedented assistance from China via air and road comes at a critical time when Pakistan’s medical workers struggle to treat patients.
Two tonnes of masks, test kits, ventilators, medical protective clothes were handed over at Khunjerab Pass, the highest paved international border, according to a statement by the Chinese embassy. “This is the friendship higher than mountains!” the embassy said.
