The US embassy on Friday asked the American nationals and Legal Permanent Residents (LPR) in Pakistan to take advantage of the four commercial flights to be operated by the Qatar Airways.
In a tweet, the embassy said the airline will operate the flights from Lahore and Peshawar to Doha, adding that those not confirmed for the chartered operations should contact the Qatar Airways tickets if they wanted to fly back home.

An alert issued by the embassy said the Qatar Airways announced operating flights from Lahore to Doha on April 25, 28, and 29 as well as from Peshawar on April 29.

It said the US citizens remaining in Pakistan not already confirmed to depart on the chartered flights should contact Qatar Airways or preferred travel arranger.
“These flights are not US government-operated or funded flights. Availability and cancellations are controlled by the airline,” the embassy said, asking the people not contact it with booking requests or inquiries about these flights. “We cannot assist you in obtaining reservations with Qatar Airways.”
About the ongoing chartered flights, it said the operation was the last planned US government-arranged flights from Pakistan to the United States. “We urge any confirmed passenger to travel on your scheduled charter flight to ensure you are able to depart Pakistan as planned.”
It is worth noting that four out of a total of six chartered flights have already left Pakistan. The remaining two are scheduled tomorrow (April 25) from Karachi and Islamabad.
