Pakistan’s bowler Shadab Khan said that the defeat in the 3rd T20 International against New Zealand was not surprising, as new players failed to perform, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Leg spinner Shadab Khan addressing a press conference said that the T20 World Cup was near therefore, PCB management should focus on the team’s performance.

He claimed that Pakistan’s T20 combination was not perfect and, that it could not win World Cup.

He said young players should play modern-day games however, there should be no blame game in case of defeat.

Shadab said amid the rotation policy, new and young cricketers were being given the chance. He hoped that under the rotation policy, Ammad Wasim would get a chance.

To a question about his appointment as vice-captain, Shadab said it would be the decision of the Pakistan Cricket Board Management.

Earlier, Pakistan and NZ teams took part in a practice session at Qaddafi Stadium. Both teams will play their next match on April 25.
