Boycot calls rise for Fawad Khan’s upcoming film in India after Pahalgam attack
Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan’s upcoming film Abir Gulal has been facing strong calls for a boycott in the aftermath of the terror attack in the Jammu and Kashmir area of Pahalgam, which killed 26 tourists. The film is likely to be banned in the country once again. It is important to note that the film was previously announced to release on 9th May.
Fawad Khan has made his comeback to Bollywood after long periods of nine-year.
The romantic comedy drama Abir Gulaal features Fawad Khan along with prominent Indian star Vaani Kapoor.
They both were seen promoting their upcoming film internationally, but the latest incident has put the film’s fate in danger, leading to demands for a ban.
As per reports, the production house behind the Abir Gulaal is in negotiation with cinema owners for the film release, but it looks quite unlikely that the film will release.
An Indian political party, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), has also raised objections over the film.
