US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome called on Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja in Islamabad on Thursday and extended Washington’s full support for free, fair and transparent elections in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to a statement issued by a spokesman of the US Embassy in Islamabad, Blome and the CEC discussed holding of free and fair elections in accordance with the law and the Constitution of Pakistan.

Donald Blome said it’s up to Pakistani people to elect their future leaders and the US is committed to deepen and expand its ties with Pakistan.

The US ambassador further said that the US will continue to work with representatives elected by the Pakistani people.
