Another Karo Kari case in Sindh: Former policeman shoots daughter, throws body into river

A former policeman allegedly killed his ‘Kari’ daughter in Sukkur ‘to save his honour’, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.

‘Karo Kari’ is a Sindhi term used for honor killing. Karo means black man and Kari means black woman; the term means they have blackened themselves by committing this sin and dishonoured the family.

According to the police, the accused shot the woman dead and then threw her body into the river. She was identified as Amiran.

A case has been registered at the Airport Police Station against Badal Badani Jatoi and two of his accomplices.

Police said that Badal Badani planned the murder in connivance with his accomplices.
