Claudia Schiffer cheers on Brentford alongside husband Matthew Vaughn

Claudia Schiffer proved she is fully embracing her role as a football supporter as she joined her husband, filmmaker Sir Matthew Vaughn, to cheer on Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The German supermodel, 54, looked every inch the dedicated fan as she sported a Brentford shirt while watching the Premier League side secure a 1–0 victory over Aston Villa. By her side was her husband, also 54, who recently invested in the London-based club alongside South African businessman Gary Lubner.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2002, appeared deeply engrossed in the match before celebrating the team’s hard-fought win. Their outing marked another public show of support for Brentford following Vaughn’s new financial stake in the club, which has risen steadily through the footballing ranks in recent years.

Schiffer and Vaughn reside at Coldham Hall, a £7.5 million Tudor mansion in Suffolk, where they live with their three children: Caspar, 22, Clementine Poppy, 20, and Cosima, 15. Despite her status as one of the original “supermodels” of the 1990s alongside Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington, Schiffer has often spoken about how her priorities shifted after starting a family.

In an interview last year, the model revealed that marriage and motherhood gave her a new perspective. “When I was in my 20s, travelling around the world, my focus was on my career — working hard, being competitive and getting to the top. That changed when I had kids,” she told Britain’s HELLO! magazine.

“I feel lucky to have such a wonderful family. I’m proud of my children, they’re very down to earth and their wellbeing is mine and my husband’s priority. I could take on a lot more runways, photoshoots and other projects, but maintaining balance and spending quality time with my family is far more important to me than doing another campaign.”

Her husband, meanwhile, has made his mark in the film industry as a producer and director. Vaughn’s credits include working on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, the hit crime comedy directed by Guy Ritchie and featuring former footballer Vinnie Jones. He has since gone on to direct films such as Layer Cake, Kick-Ass, and the successful Kingsman franchise.

The couple’s appearance at the Brentford match was not their first; Schiffer was also spotted supporting the team during a game against Nottingham Forest in December. With Vaughn’s official involvement in the club, it seems the pair are ready to become familiar faces at the Gtech Community Stadium.
