Crescent of Rabi-ul-Awwal sighted in Saudi Arabia

The crescent moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, marking the beginning of the new Islamic month on Sunday. 

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the first of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1447 Hijri will fall on August 24, 2025.

According to Haramain Shareefain’s official account, the Makkah Clock Tower was illuminated to celebrate the sighting of the new moon, symbolising the arrival of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
