FIR lodged against hostess who ran bus over man in Rawalpindi
Pir Wadhai police in Rawalpindi on Sunday registered an FIR under five sections against the female bus driver whose negligence led to the death of a man on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The case was registered on the complaint of the deceased’s brother-in-law, who stated that a speeding bus, which emerged from Crystal Line Station, hit Irshad Hussain, who died on the spot while Bilal Shah and Aziz were seriously wounded.
The bus, read the FIR, went on to slam into cars, a motorcycle and a rickshaw.
“Razia Sultana was in the driving seat while Qazi alias Pappu and Ihtesham were accompanying her,” the complainant said, and added that the female driver, by driving the bus at a fast speed, showed negligence and hence committed a crime.
A man was crushed to death and two others were injured when a bus hostess ran her bus into them while shooting a TikTok video in Rawalpindi on Saturday.
The incident took place at a private bus stand opposite the Pirwadhai Bus Terminal.
As the bus was ready to leave the bus terminal, the bus driver left it and went to have a cup of tea.
Taking advantage of his absence, the bus hostess took control of the steering and started shooting a TikTok video. She mistakenly hit the gear and the bus went out of control.
In the ensuing moments, the bus entered another bus terminal hitting people and causing damage to property.
Three buses were also hit in this incident. Police took the bus hostess into their custody and shifted her to a police station.
