Pakistan, Bangladesh explore deeper trade cooperation in pharma sector

Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan visited Square Pharmaceuticals during his official trip to Bangladesh, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

The minister was briefed on the country’s pharmaceutical industry and later inspected the facilities of Square Pharmaceuticals, one of Bangladesh’s leading pharma companies.

During the visit, discussions were held on trade cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Officials from Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce also presented trade proposals aimed at boosting bilateral ties. 

Both sides explored opportunities for enhancing pharmaceutical exports and expanding collaboration beyond the region to third markets.

Jam Kamal Khan emphasised that Pakistan and Bangladesh’s pharmaceutical industries can achieve greater growth through mutual cooperation. 

He highlighted the importance of knowledge sharing, research exchange, and joint ventures as key drivers for strengthening ties between the two countries.

The minister noted that with effective collaboration, pharmaceutical cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh could expand into global markets.
