Pakistan receives 118,060 applications under govt Hajj scheme for 2026

As the last date for submission of Hajj applications under the government scheme has passed, Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has received 118,060 applications from people across the country, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.

Hajj applications were received on a first-come, first-served basis. In 17 days, people submitted applications online and through selected banks for long and short-duration Hajj.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has received half of the Hajj expenses from the applicants as the first installment and the remaining Hajj expenses will be received in the second installment.

The collection of the second installment of Hajj dues will start from November 1. The estimated Hajj expenses under the government scheme are Rs1.15 million to Rs1.25 million
