Nominations of 13 officers cancelled for mandatory 40th Senior Management Course

The federal government has cancelled the nominations of 13 officers for the mandatory 40th Senior Management Course (SMC) required for promotion to Grade 20, reported 24NewsHD Channel.

According to a letter sent by the Establishment Division to the Rector of the National School of Public Policy (NSPP) the cancelled nominations include four officers from the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), five from the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), one from the Secretariat Group, one from the Ministry of Defence, and two officers from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

The PAS officers whose nominations have been cancelled include Shafi Ullah Khan, Tahir Farooq, Asim Raza and Syed Hassan Raza and five PSP officers: Asad Ejaz Malhi, Sadiq Hussain, Sajid Hussain Khokhar, Haroon Rashid Khan and Tariq Elahi Mastoi.

The Establishment Division has formally informed the National School of Public Policy about the changes in the nominations of the concerned officers.

The 40th Senior Management Course is scheduled to be held from July 20 to November 6, 2026, at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) campuses in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar under the NSPP.

The Senior Management Course is mandatory for government officers seeking promotion to Grade 20.
