FIA arrests ex-employee of bank involved in Rs4.2m fraud

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Commercial Banking Circle Karachi, has arrested the former employee of a private bank who was involved in a fraud of Rs4.2 million from Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The ex-bank employee, Fahad Muhammad Mohsin, had embezzled Rs4.2 million from the account of a private bank’s customer’s account when he was working for the bank.

According to FIA, the accused had got issued cheque books from the account of bank’s client, which were used to withdraw money from the ill-fated customer’s account.

The FIA had received a complaint from the private bank for taking action against the accused.

A case was registered against Fahad in 2013. The accused had been hiding from the last 10 years and the FIA had conducted raids multiple times to arrest him but in vain.

The FIA has started investigation after arresting the accused.
