Maryam Nawaz to contest elections from Lahore

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz on Saturday submitted her nomination papers for  NA- 120 Lahore constituency, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to sources, she will be contesting elections from the National Assembly constituency of NA-120 and PP- 165 simultaneously.

In her nomination papers, PML-N leader Umar Farooq is the proposer while Humayun Shaukat Butt is the endorser.

Sources said Maryam’s nomination papers were filed by Sohail Shaukat Butt at the office of the Shalimar assistant commissioner, Anam Fatima.

At the time of the filing of the nomination papers, Sohail Shaukat Butt was accompanied by PML-N leaders Khawaja Imran Nazir and Zeeshan Malik.

Meanwhile, PTI leader Ahmar Bhatti announced to contest elections against Maryam Nawaz as he had submitted nomination papers for PP 165.

  Ahmar Bhatti is the nephew of PTI District President Jameel Bhatti.

Earlier, she planned to vie from NA-119 but seeing her strong candidate -PTI Sanam Javed, she altered her mind.
