Islamabad IGP transfers senior police officials
Islamabad’s Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Ali Nasir Rizvi on Wednesday issued a notification for the transfer and posting of high-ranking officers of the Pakistan Police Service (PPS) with immediate effect and until further orders, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the notification, Superintendent of Police (SP) City Sulemain Zafar transferred and posted as SP Security and Administration with an additional charge of Law and Order.
Additional Charge of SP Law and Order was taken back from DSP Khalid Mehmood. The notification further stated that Ayaz Hussain was appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) Ayaz Hussain.
Parigul Tareen was transferred from the post of SP Security and posted as SP Headquarters with immediate effect.
Earlier on December 16, 2025, Punjab Police Inspector General (IG) Dr Usman Anwar ordered the posting and transfer of 24 police officers across the province, including key positions in Lahore and Faisalabad, as part of an administrative reshuffle aimed at improving operational efficiency.
According to the notification, Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem has been posted as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Lahore. Nasir Mehmood Bajwa has been appointed Additional Inspector General (AIG) Welfare Punjab, Lahore.
In Faisalabad, Saleem Abbas Kolachi has been posted as SSP Investigations. Meanwhile, Bilal Ahmed Khan has been transferred and posted as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) VVIP Security One, Lahore.
