Multan clinch National PDT T20 Championship with thrilling win over Rawalpindi

Multan clinched the National PD T20 Cricket Championship 2025 title after defeating Rawalpindi in a thrilling final held at Rashid Latif Cricket Ground, Karachi, on Wednesday. 

Rawalpindi won the toss and chose to bat first, setting a target of 156 runs in 20 overs.

Captain Mohammad Arsalan led from the front with a 60-run innings, helping his side post a competitive total.

Chasing 156, Multan’s PD team successfully achieved the target, winning the title by three wickets in a tense final over.

Mohammad Zaman played a pivotal role, scoring 60 runs, and was named player of the match and tournament player.

Speaking after the match, Zaman said, “I am grateful to Allah for this victory. The credit goes to our captain and coach for guiding us.”

Multan captain Matloob described the turning point of the match as the second-last delivery, which resulted in a crucial boundary that sealed their win.

Meanwhile, Rawalpindi captain Mohammad Arsalan called the final a “thrilling contest that ended with joy for both teams.”

Trophies were awarded to the winning team, runner-up, and players with outstanding performances in the tournament.
