The Green Bus met an accident on Friday as it ran over a fence installed on a footpath near Nagan Chorangi in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, the driver of a Green Bus lost control over the vehicle and it ran over a footpath, hitting a fence installed there. 

According to the rescue officials, the accident occurred due to over speeding. 

The panicked passengers jumped out of the bus after breaking its windows.

Rescue people said that the front of the bus damaged in the accident.

The modern Green Line of the Bus Rapid Transit System was launched in Karachi last year by the federal government which is ferrying almost 35,000 travellers every day.
