9 securitymen martyred as terrorists torch ambulance, ambush police patrol in KP

At least nine security personnel including a senior police officer were martyred when terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al-Khwarij attacked an ambulance and targeted a police patrol vehicle in two Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cities on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In Karak attack, the Khwarij first opened fire on the passing Rescue 1122 ambulances shifting injured Federal Constabulary (FC) personnel to a hospital.

As the vehicles came to a halt due to the barrage of bullets, the terrorists then set one of it on fire, burning alive the three patients lying inside.

The terrorists made a video of the attack and uploaded it on the social media in an attempt to create panic and terror among the KP public.

According to details, the Khwarij launched an attack on an FC post in Qilla Shaheedan area of Karak on 23 February 2006 with the help of a quadcopter.

After the attack, two Rescue 1122 ambulances arrived at the post to fetch the injured personnel to hospital.

On their way back, they were attacked by the Fitna al-Khwarij terrorists, setting one on fire with patients lying inside while the driver of the other ambulance succeeded in escaping from the indiscriminate firing along with the injured.

The martyred FC personnel who were burnt alive were identified as Lance Naik Adil Khan, Sepoy Murad Gul, and Sepoy Ayyan Khan. Both sepoys were residents of District Hangu while Lance Naik belonged to District Mansehra.

The driver of the ambulance a Rescue 1122 personnel also received severe burn injuries in the attack.

Other injured were identified as Havaldar Sabir son of Hakeem Shah, Muhammad Yousuf son of Sharbat Khan, Hanif son of Gul Zareen and ambulance driver Ahmad Hussain. The wounded shifted to hospitals in Karak and Bannu.

Kohat attack

Six policemen, including a deputy superintendent of police (DSP), were martyred, and two others injured when terrorists ambushed their patrol vehicle in Kohat on Tuesday.

According to details, the terrorists attacked a police mobile passing on Shakkar Dara Road, a suburban area of Kohat in which DSP Asad Mahmood was martyred.

Four police officers also embraced martyrdom in the incident, while two others were injured and shifted to the hospital.

According to the Kohat DPO, a cordon and search operation was underway in the area after the incident.

Mohsin Naqvi pays tribute to martyrs 

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks on an ambulance and police vehicle in KP.

In a statement, the minister paid tribute to DSP Asad Mahmood and four police personnel who were martyred in the Kohat attack and FC personnel who died in Karak. He described their sacrifice as an act of bravery and devotion to duty.

Naqvi expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of DSP Asad Mahmood and the other fallen officers, assuring them that the government stands with them in this hour of grief.

The interior minister emphasised that the sacrifices of the martyrs would always be remembered and honoured.

KP CM condemns attack

KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has strongly condemned the incident of firing on FC officials by terrorists in Karak.

In his message, Sohail Afridi said the incident is extremely sad and the sacrifices of the martyrs will not go in vain. 

Sohail Afridi said establishing law and order is a common challenge for the entire country. 

Chief Minister prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for patience for the families.

Sohail Afridi directed to provide immediate and best medical facilities to the injured.
