Orders issued to sack 16 Punjab securitymen for having links with banned outfits

Orders have been given to immediately sack 16 security personnel deputed at sensitive sites in Punjab following revelations that they have links with proscribed outfits, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Sources told the 24News TV channel that a recommendation had been made to remove eight security personnel, who had been deputed at an office in GOR-I, Lahore, from their jobs.

Similarly, six personnel, including policemen, performing duties at the office and official residences of some senior government officials in Murree and Rawalpindi, had also been removed, the sources informed.

Giving further details, they said that those who were dismissed from service were three constables, two ASIs and a protocol officer.

Other government servants, who were sacked, belonged to Department of Services and General.

Sources told the 24News TV channel that security had been further tightened at sensitive sites in the province.
