The arrangements for the Ice Hockey Tournament have been finalized and it will begin on Tuesday (tomorrow) in Skardu for the first time, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The two-day ice hockey tournament aims to provide recreational opportunities for local youth as well as draw attention to the dangers posed by glaciers due to global warming.

For this unique ice hockey tournament of its kind, the beautiful ground has been prepared in District Park. 

According to the district administration, the closing ceremony of the Ice Hockey Tournament will also feature a spectacular display of ‘Mayfung’, the biggest winter festival in Baltistan. 

Moreover, local food stalls will also be set up in this beautiful snowy ground for the spectators.
