A sessions court in Islamabad has reserved its verdict on Imran Khan’s petition seeking exemption from court appearance in a case pertaining to hurling threat at female judge Zeba Chaudhry during a PTI public rally last year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Judge Rana Mujahid Raheem heard the case on Tuesday.
During the hearing, PTI Chief Imran Khan did not appear before the court.
Prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi requested the court to issue non-bailable arrest warrants for Imran.
However, Imran’s lawyer Naeem Haider submitted an application on behalf of the PTI chief seeking the latter’s exemption from court appearance on medical grounds for today.
The judge inquired of the lawyer where his power of attorney was.
The lawyer replied that he came to know about the court notice yesterday night.
