Gold, silver prices surge to record levels in Pakistan

Gold and silver prices registered a sharp increase in both local and international markets on Saturday as the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs6,500 to settle at Rs521,162, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also went up by Rs5,573 to Rs446,812 whereas the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs 5,109 to Rs 409,592.
In the international market, gold prices climbed by $65 to $4,988 per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver prices also witnessed a notable increase. The price of 24-karat silver per tola surged by Rs 526 to Rs 10,801, whereas the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs 451 to Rs 9,260.
On the global front, the price of silver increased by $5.26 to $103.26 per ounce.
