Three die, five injured, 275 rescued after fire breaks out in Lahore hotel
Three people died, five injured and 275 were rescued after a fire broke out in Indigo Hotel located at Hussain Chowk in Lahore's posh area of Gulberg on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to report, Rescue 1122 firefighters launched a swift operation and were able to bring the blaze under control. They were now checking the hotel again as if there was anyone still trapped inside.
Police informed media men that the staffers of foreign airlines used to stay at this hotel.
According to initial investigation, the fire broke out in the basement of the hotel due to gas leakage and five people received burn injuries.

The injured persons have been shifted to Services Hospital for urgent treatment.
Rescue personnel said they faced difficult conditions due to excessive smoke in the basement but they succeeded in dousing the fire.
Police said one of the burnt persons has been identified as 46-year-old Mubeen.

Rescue 1122 authorities said that the Rescue Command and Control Center received a fire call from Indigo Hotel at 12:25 pm, and search and rescue teams responded immediately from the command and control.
About 80 personnel and officers of Rescue 1122 are participating in the operation.
seven people have been rescued from the severely affected area as one injured has 30 to 40 percent burns and the other, Imran, has been transferred while performing CPR.
The rescue of around 275 remaining staff and guests has been evacuated.
All guests staying in the hotel have been rescued.
According to the management, Shahryar, CCTV operator and Riaz are missing.
The plaza is 19 stories high, consisting of three basements and constructed on four kanals.
