Decision on marriage halls opening soon, says Sindh minister

Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said the provincial government is fully aware of the plight of marriage hall owners. 

Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of wedding hall owners here on Friday, he said that situation of the working class deteriorated during the coronavirus pandemic. He said that coronavirus epidemic in the country has adversely affected all sectors and walks of life. A final decision on lifting the ban on marriage and banquet halls would be taken soon, he said.

Nasir Shah said that economic situation in the country has been badly affected by the epidemic and the Sindh government has taken tough decisions to protect human lives. He said the Sindh chief minister held several meetings in this regard and all businesses will be allowed to operate soon under SOPs.

The information minister said the Sindh government is fully aware of the plight of the working class but no compromise could be made on the lives of people. "As the situation improves, we will bring good news to people," he said. Nasir Hussain Shah appealed to people to follow SOPs and maintain social distancing.
