Gandapur’s remarks against Maryam ‘outrageous’, says Shehbaz
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said that the words used by Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur against PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz were not only ‘shameful’ but simply outrageous, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a tweet, Shehbaz Sharif said it was a pity that people having such a mindset were ruling the country.
Disgusted by the shameful language Ali Amin Gandapur has used against Maryam Nawaz. His words are not only violent but also deeply mysoginist. Just imagine that people with this mindset have been given the responsibility to govern a country of 220 million people.— Shehbaz Sharif (@CMShehbaz) July 24, 2021
Federal Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, in his speech at an election rally in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Friday (July 23), had come down hard on Maryam Nawaz, saying, “Your grandfather did not have iron equal to gold which you have worn on the wedding of your daughter.” He said, “You got plastic surgery at the cost of Rs80 million by spending people’s money.”
Calling her daku rani and daku nani (bandit queen and bandit grandmother), the federal minister said, “Will slap you so many times that your real face will come out.”
