Gen Bajwa invites Bilawal to his son’s walima
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday telephoned Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and invited him to the Walima ceremony of his son, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Army Chief extending the invitation to the PPP Chairman is seen in political circles as a positive gesture towards the second largest political party in the country, It was still not known as a similar invitation is extended to the PML's top leadership or not.
It may be mentioned that the top leadership of the Pakistan People's Party has been bitterly critical of the Army chief and termed him as Selector accusing him of imposing Pakistan Terik-e-Insaaf leader Imran Khan as Prime Minister after allegedly rigging the 2018 general election.
Both former President Asif Ali Zardari and the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have been demanding the Chief of Army Staff to stop supporting Imran Khan unnecessarily since the former had failed to end the miseries of the command man and the level of governance is worst in the country's history.
It may be recalled that Asif Zardari had supported the Establishment in toppling the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) government in Baluchistan and later helped PTI for the election of Sadiq Sanjrani as the Chairman Senate.
