Jail authorities clear air about Mehmood Ur Rasheed death rumors

The jail authorities Sunday denied rumors about PTI leader Mian Mehmood Ur Rasheed’s death in District Jail Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The authorities stated that Mian Mehmood is in the District jail of Lahore provided with all necessary medical facilities. He is completely healthy and fine.

They added that Mehmood Ur Rasheed was shifted to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) for an echocardiography test with the approval of the Government. He was shifted back to the cell the same day after a complete checkup by the consultant professor.

Such baseless and false rumors are attempts to defame the Punjab Government and the Punjab Prisons Department, said the jail authorities.

News about the death of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Mian Mehmood Ur Rasheed has been circulating on the internet for the past few days and the jail authorities had to clear the air about the rumors.
