121 kids among 252 people killed in country during monsoon season
NDMA says over 611 were injured in rain-related incidents
As many as 252 people, including 121 children, have lost their lives in the country since the onset of the monsoon season on June 26, 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The report issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Thursday said that over 611 others were injured in rain-related incidents.
It informed that Punjab suffered the most, as 139 people had died in the province so far and 477 had been injured. “A total of 60 people have been killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and 74 have been injured; 24 have died in Sindh and 40 injured, while 16 people have died in Balochistan and four have been injured,” it said, adding, “Three people have died in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and four have been injured, while six people have died in Islamabad while three have been injured.”
Giving further details, the report said that 85 males and 46 females were among the dead, while 232 males, 168 females and 202 children were injured.
It informed that over 1, 000 houses were either completely or partially damaged due to rains and floods. “As many as 328 cattle also perished in rain-related incidents,” it elaborated.
