Khawaja Asif advised to stay in hospital for two more days

Although senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif is a free man now as per court Lahore High Court (LHC) orders but doctors at Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital, where he is currently admitted, advised him on Thursday to extend his stay at the hospital for two more days as his wounds from surgery he has undergone recently are healing, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The LHC had granted bail to Asif on Wednesday in assets beyond known sources of income case. And the jail officials even reached Jinnah Hospital along with the Robkar, but the doctors advised him against leaving the hospital early.
The LHC had on Wednesday ordered release of the PML-N leader after submission of the surety bonds of Rs10 million each.
A two-judge bench, consisting of Justice Miss Alia Neelam and Justice Syed Shehbaz Ali Rizvi, conducted the hearing.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested Khawaja on December 29, 2020, from Islamabad. The PML-N leader had filed his bail application in LHC on March 27, 2021.
