Pakistan, ADB sign Women Inclusive Finance Sector Programme

Pakistan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Tuesday signed the Women Inclusive Finance Sector Programme.

Under the agreement, ADB will give Pakistan $350 million. Of this amount, $300 million will be policy-based loan and $50 million will be intermediary loan.

According to the economic affairs ministry spokesperson, the programme aims to provide opportunities to women in business and employment sectors.

Ministry of Economic Affairs Additional Secretary Sabeena Qureshi signed the programme on behalf of Pakistan. From ADB, Project Head Danesh Raj Shiv signed the agreement.
