PTI slams LHC ruling on Imran Khan’s bail, vows to challenge ‘flawed’ verdict

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has strongly condemned the Lahore High Court’s decision rejecting the bail plea of party founder and Patron-in-Chief Imran Khan, calling the ruling “deeply flawed, disappointing, and legally unjust.”

A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court issued the verdict earlier Tuesday, drawing swift and sharp criticism from PTI, which announced it will approach the relevant legal forum to challenge the ruling.

In an official statement, a PTI spokesperson said the judiciary is “surrendering to lawlessness, injustice, and political influence” in politically motivated cases, and the nation is witnessing the disintegration of the justice system in real time.

“Imran Khan is being punished not for any crime, but for his politics of conscience and principles,” the spokesperson said, adding that the charges against the former prime minister are baseless, vindictive, and driven by political revenge.

PTI likened the current case to “hundreds of other politically engineered cases” that have either collapsed in court or been exposed as “nothing more than fabricated allegations and personal vendettas.”

The party accused the state of using fascist tactics to keep Khan in prison by denying him basic legal rights such as bail. “This is not about justice — it’s about breaking Imran Khan’s will and silencing the voice of democratic resistance,” the spokesperson said.

Despite what the party described as ruthless oppression, PTI affirmed that Imran Khan remains “unshaken like a rock”, standing firmly for the supremacy of the Constitution, the rule of law, and democratic ideals.

“Imran Khan will not compromise, nor will he retreat from the people’s right to rule,” the spokesperson asserted. “We will challenge this decision at the Supreme Court and call upon the entire nation to stand witness in this struggle for justice.”

The party has promised to mobilise public opinion and continue its legal and political fight, both in courtrooms and on the streets, to uphold what it says is a battle for justice, democracy, and the soul of Pakistan.
