Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed Punjab high-ups on Tuesday to launch a crackdown against elements producing fake sanitizers, handwash and antiseptic chemicals across the province.

Leading from the front, Gujranwala police and civil administration took an action, on the tip from the special branch and seized hundreds of litres of fake sanitizers, handwash material and anti-septic chemicals.

Police have also arrested four people Basharat, Hayat, Mudassir Iqbal and Mubashir Iqbal and seized all the fake material and started further inquiry.

The special branch informed the police and local administration that a warehouse in Sharifpura area near GT Road and in Model Town area in Police Station Civil Line area was manufacturing fake sanitizers.

Chief Minister Usman Bazdar has ordered strict action against the mafia selling fake sanitizers and handwash across the province. He said the mafia deserves no mercy at all.
