A key bridge in Abbottabad was collapsed on Wednesday as heavy rains lashed the city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The heavy rains caused the water level to swell in River Daur at Havelian which ultimately led to the collapse of the bridge cutting off several villages from the Abbottabad city including Nowshehra Kalu and Maira Chambiya.
Interestingly, the bridge was repaired two months ago with a cost of Rs3.5 million.
Local residents have complained that substandard material was used in the construction of the bridge which led to its collapse in just two months.
