Parvez Elahi name as Punjab CM still under discussion: Shehbaz Sharif

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif Wednesday said the discussion is still going on to name Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as the Punjab Chief Minister.

During an interview with senior anchorperson Nasim Zehra at 24NewsHD TV channel, Shehbaz said none of the heads of the state should have an influence on National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

NAB should work, without any victimization, Shehbaz added.

Shehbaz said that Imran is the worst ever leader, even from dictators. “Even, Pervez Musharraf had not arrested the sisters and daughters.”

Shehbaz claimed that only the fresh mandate will take the country back to a state of progression.

Shehbaz said: “We will thwart the corrupt practices and criminal negligence, which is prevailing in the tenure of PTI-led government.”

He said that during Nawaz era price of sugar was Rs52, which has now reached Rs130 and the price of flour was Rs35, which now has reached Rs100.

Incompetence, negligence, inefficiencies and corruption in the tenure of PTI-led government have emptied the pockets of the masses, Shehbaz said.

Shehbaz lauded the PML-N supremo and said that when Nawaz was elected as the prime minister for the third time, within four years, plenty of prosperity came to the country. During Nawaz government, the inflation rate was 3.5 per cent, Shehbaz added.

Shehbaz went on to say that record tax was collected, when Nawaz was the premier. Shehbaz said the people had to suffer from 20 hours load shedding but Nawaz sorted out this issue.

Shehbaz went on to say that in the ruling PTI’s government, four finance ministers have been changed. Shehbaz lambasted the premier and said that Imran Khan had claimed on so many things and also said that he has a team of 200 experts.

Shehbaz said PML-N supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has assigned him and other seniors of the party to hold talks with PML-Q and other parties.

“Through, Long March, we will express the anger of masses, irrespective of the fact, that we comes into the power.”

Shehbaz said that he presented the ‘charter of an economy’ on the floor of the house. And the efforts will continue over this proposal, as it ensures prosperity, he added.

Shehbaz said the main purpose to stage the Long March is inflation, which is one of the problem, from which the masses are suffering from.

PML-N president said that the Long March will represent the emotions of 220 million people.

“We deferred our Long March because of OIC meeting, but Imran khan did not defer his ‘dharna’ in 2014 ahead of the Chinese President arrival to Pakistan.”

Shehbaz said the joint opposition will consider the rebel PTI leaders and independent candidates.

Shehbaz said Imran Khan is responsible for the destruction of the country. “PM Imran has devastated our economy, who is a problem for the nation”, said Shehbaz.

Shehbaz hoped that the political parties for a period of time should stand by one side to cope the challenges of unemployment and the frail economy.

Shehbaz went on to say the difference between India and Pakistan is Jawaharlal Nehru, who served India as a prime minister for 14 years.

“If Quaid-e-Azam lived for some years, after the independence, so the nation may not had to face man-made problems. “We as a nation are responsible for the prevailing situation of the country,” Shehbaz Sharif said.

Shehbaz said millions of the people have sacrificed their lives for independence.
