Rain flattens mature wheat crop in Kasur

March 25, 2023 03:45 AM

Sporadic rains and freaky hailstorms have flattened mature wheat crop in Kasur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Farmers said that the wheat cultivation is already very low due to the severe flood last year. In the meantime, hailstorm has badly affected the wheat crop to a large extent.

Now rain and hailstorm have added more to the woes of farmers.

They feared that wheat crop will not be able to meet its production target due to hailstorms and rains. Moreover, wheat crop will now take longer to mature due to the cold weather.

Agricultural pandits said that hailstorm has also destroyed other crops, including recently cultivated vegetables.
