Lahore Zoo generates Rs14.89m revenue during Eid holidays

Lahore Zoo recorded a significant surge in visitors during Eid-ul-Fitr, generating nearly Rs14.89 million in revenue over three days, officials said.

According to a zoo spokesperson, the facility witnessed a steady increase in footfall throughout the holiday period, reflecting its popularity as a recreational destination for families.

On the first day of Eid, 20,720 visitors entered the zoo, contributing Rs2.72 million to the total revenue. The second day saw a sharp rise, with 47,855 visitors generating Rs5.85 million. The highest turnout was recorded on the third day, when 50,704 people visited, bringing in Rs6.167 million.

Several attractions within the zoo drew considerable crowds. The hologram feature was experienced by 5,876 visitors, while 8,889 people visited the fish aquarium. The snake house attracted 12,441 visitors, and the motorcycle attraction recorded 12,538 visitors during the three-day period.

In addition, 868 vehicles were recorded entering the zoo, indicating a strong turnout from families and groups.

Officials said the large number of visitors underscores the zoo’s role as a major public attraction during holidays, adding that such influxes not only boost revenue but also promote public interest in wildlife and educational exhibits.
