Karachi’s only power utility, K-Electric, has appointed Syed Taha as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Syed Taha had been serving as the MD and CEO of PSO since February 2020.

K-Electric has passed on the important information regarding the appointment to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The board of directors of K-Electric has appointed Syed Taha as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer with effect from April 15, 2026.

Syed Taha replaced Adib Ahmed, who was the interim CEO.

Syed Taha holds a degree in engineering.

He has an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.

Previously, Syed Taha worked as the Executive Director at Oasis Energy.

Syed Taha headed the Program Management Office of the Port Harcourt Electric Distribution Company, Nigeria.

Syed Taha previously served as Chief Distribution Officer at K-Electric and held senior positions in various organizations.
