Zimbabwe’s Brian Bennett joins Peshawar Zalmi for PSL 11

Zimbabwe opener Brian Bennett has been included in the squad of Peshawar Zalmi for the upcoming 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League.

The announcement was made by Zalmi owner Javed Afridi, who welcomed the batter to the franchise. “We welcome Brian John Bennett from Zimbabwe to the Zalmi family,” he said.

Bennett recently delivered a strong performance for Zimbabwe in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, where he played a key role in helping his team reach the Super 8 stage. The right-handed batter scored 292 runs in six matches, including a highest score of 97 against India national cricket team.

He also contributed significantly in a successful run chase against Sri Lanka national cricket team during the group stage.

Bennett is set to make his debut appearance in the PSL, with the franchise expressing confidence in his ability to strengthen the squad in the forthcoming season.
