Gaza ceasefire a diplomatic success: FM

The Gaza ceasefire is a diploma1ic success that led to putting an end to the bloodshed of innocents including women and children, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on his return from a foreign visit on Sunday.
According to 24NewsHD TV Channel, the foreign minister told the media that Prime Minister Imran Khan sent him on a mission that was accomplished. He said the peace pact between Israel and Hamas will help resolve the Palestine issue through talks.
He said the credit of this achievement went to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s selfless leadership and prayers of Pakistanis. He expressed gratitude to everyone who supported the peace efforts.
Qureshi has been in the US since last Wednesday. He addressed the 193-member Assembly on Thursday in which he strongly condemned Israeli aggression in Gaza, and called for the deployment of an international protection force to safeguard the besieged Palestinians.
He participated in the UN General Assembly session and on the sidelines, he met with the FMs of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Maldives.
He held talks with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, UN Security Council President Ambassador Zhang Jun and General Assembly President Vulcan Bozkir, during which he stressed the need for a just and peaceful solution of the Palestinian and Kashmir issues.
During his stay in New York, the Foreign Minister met with members of the Pakistani community, influential businessmen, youth representatives and briefed them on the government’s priorities.
