Tareen group’s meeting cancelled at last moment

A meeting of the Jahangir Khan Tareen (JKT) group that was secluded in Lahore today (Monday) the evening has been cancelled surprisingly at the last moment, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

According to the sources, no reason has been given by the group members for cancelling it. They termed unavoidable circumstances for the reason of the meeting cancellation.

The meeting has been now rescheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday) and would be held at the residence of Ajmal Cheema where Jehangir Tareen would brief the members.

Group leader Jahangir Khan Tareen had called an important meeting of his like-minded parliamentarians in Lahore on May 24 evening to discuss the future line of action after considering the responses from the ruling authorities.

The group wants to take up the issues of accountability cases against their members as well as recent meetings with the key PTI persons including Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry.

The issue of the JKT group of PTI also echoed in the Sindh Assembly session on Monday and Pakistan Peoples Party members taunted PTI leadership, saying, “End differences within your own the party first and then criticize the others.”

Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan without naming Jahangir Tareen has said that he would not spare anyone and his government would keep continuing the accountability process. The PM said no one should think that he could blackmail him and kept insisting on living up to his principal stands.
